long time no post

Well now - I have to go to work in a few hours, and thought I'd give a little update.

Work hard saw spamalot busy gcsu lift heavy thing email person call person sleep.

Brynn was here for the weekend, which was quite a nice time. I'm looking forward to going back to Glendon in a few weeks, I've been missing the regularity and atmosphere and all the people there.

well, this has been a mediocre post at best, but I'll try to get back into the swing of things soon...

well i got my first spam post today! YAY!
I thought it went fairly well, i mean, we were both nervous, but afterwords i felt a real connec... man spam is freakin annoying!
well, thats all i have to say this evening - I am once again tired from work, and have realized that I have a load of GCSU stuff to take care of asap - what with this whole gainful employment stuff I haven't had as much time as I would have liked.

Put in another day at work - this one was short and I had the honour of being able to sleep in (started at 8). I'm so glad to have the better part of the evening to myself - to be able to eat popcicles, listen to loud music, read some, and watch amazing sci-fi television. There was a point to me writing in this blog today, but I seem to have forgotten it. Oh well - maybe that was the point. I'm thinking of composing a long letter to my MP this summer. I sent him a form email from makepovertyhistory.ca (which everyone should visit and participate in) and he responded very briefly, saying my concerns were noted. I don't really by it. This guy, David Sweet, a conservative, has only ever been a businessmen (or the ceo of a fairly right wing christian men's organization.) I sincerely doubt that he can note my concerns, because I don't think he a) understands them fully, b) cares or c) does much actual work. Above all, he doesn't accuratly represent our riding - based on population, his support in the last election was 23%, and taking into account only those who voted, he received 39% of the vote. Bush got more than that in the 2004 election. Well, I am going to try to start a dialogue with my MP - I hope he will be receptive of my opinions and take them into account when he represents my riding in parliament.

in other news - I had a pretty good day, got a little sunburned, and am looking forward to returning to school (but not looking forward to saying goodbye to the summer)

hot air/polluted air

Well now, I've gone and seen 'An Inconvenient Truth' - the documentary that documents Al Gore's campaign to raise awareness of this so-called phenomenon called 'Global Warming'. I still don't by it. I mean, the record heat days, exponentially increasing temperatures and carbon content in the atmosphere, the incredible consensus among the scientific community, the disappearing ice-caps (hmmmm... now available in 4 new flavours.... get them while they last....) and glaciers and now a film by Al Gore, co-star of the fabled 2000 US presidential election and the evidence is still inconvincing. The only way I'd ever believe it were if record heat days, exponentially increasing temperatures and carbon content in the atmosphere, an incredible consensus among the scientific community and disappearing ice-caps and glaciers were all captured on video with a former US vice president giving us a personal warning. oh, uh, well now. I guess I'll go turn off the car,

I've got it idling in the driveway

Brand New Blog

So I'm trying to get into this whole interweb thing, and I figured that with the horrible failure of my live journal, I would try some sort of new 'blog' like thing, hence this 'blogger' thing. SHAZAM - I am part of the interweb.
